Stop The Towers campaign launches website

The Stop The Towers campaign was launched to campaign against the proposed 25 and 26-storey towers next to and opposite West Ealing station. The campaign is neither against development in this area nor against building much needed truly affordable social housing. What it is against is the scale and, in particular, the height of these two towers.

Whilst the campaign has only been going for a few weeks it has already reached many hundreds of residents with information about the plans and the campaign. Now it has just launched its website and this is the place to keep up with the latest news about the campaign.

  1. There has not been a planning application yet. Still, i emailed the relevant people suggested to oppose the development.
But since then, the Stop the Towers movement have caused criminal damage to commercial property at West Ealing station. As such, bizarrely, i am now going to contact coucils reps to seek criminal prosecution of whoever is responsible.
Dont give them money, dont have anything to do with them if this is the sort of irresponsible organisation they are.

  2. These towers blocks will change the landscape of this part of Ealing. Parking is already limited and this would create extra traffic and crowded roads. A lot of money has gone into improving Ealing, the culture, the neighborhoods and this eyesore would be ridiculous in such an upcoming borough. we are totally against this.

  3. Just a quick heads up re the protest about the massive over-development of tower blocks being visited on our borough that is being held today – Tuesday 25/2/2020 outside the council offices in Ealing Broadway at 18:00.

If you feel strongly about the huge number of overbearing tower blocks being proposed for Ealing and you can make it you will want to be there.

(Sorry about the very short notice!)
